Mercedes Benz Keys to Goodwood Festival of Speed . ( Part 3 )

Lining up on the start line are a mighty range of cars, from the 1910 Prinz Heinrich to the W 154 and W 196 Silver Arrows, the 300 SLR ‘Ulhenhaut’ and a 300 SLR race car.

Bringing the motorsport theme up to date will be the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula 1™ team – with Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg running a contemporary Silver Arrow car up the Goodwood Hill in what is set to be one of the most exciting – and certainly loudest – spectacles at the Festival. An example of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula 1™ car will be on the Mercedes-Benz stand with free opportunities for visitors to have their picture taken next to it as well as immersing themselves in the driving experience through simulators.

Mercedes Benz Keys to Goodwood Festival of Speed . ( Part 2 )

In addition, anyone who visits the free Goodwood Grandstand, which is located near the Mercedes-Benz stand, will be offered a free Mercedes-AMG flag to keep – and wave as their favourite cars roar past. The Mercedes-Benz stand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed will be home to a display of the very latest cars, particularly those from AMG. The new A 45 AMG, the new E 63 AMG, the new SLS AMG Black Series and the new SLS AMG Electric Drive are all making an appearance. Also on display, some three months before its showroom debut in the UK, is the new S-Class – the most advanced car Mercedes-Benz has yet created.

While the road cars capture a glimpse of what’s to come, their forbearers in the form of both production and race cars will be driven by some of the most successful drivers ever, from Sir Stirling Moss to Hans Herrmann and Jochen Mass, Sir Jackie Stewart, Lewis Hamilton and British Grand Prix winner Nico Rosberg.

Mercedes Benz Keys to Goodwood Festival of Speed . ( Part 1 )

Mercedes-Benz owners attending the Goodwood Festival of Speed between July 11 and 14 are set to be given a unique perspective as the event celebrates its 20^th year, thanks to the creation of The Keyholder’s Club – a new, dedicated private viewing platform.

Located on the Mercedes-Benz stand and looking out on the first corner of the famous Goodwood Hill, entry into the Keyholder’s Club is straightforward – owners attending the Festival just have to produce a Mercedes-Benz key of any age or type to be granted access for their elevated view, and to receive complimentary light refreshments. Be it a 190 E or an SL-Class, a ‘Gullwing’ or a G-Class – they are all really super cars, and they all count, including Mercedes-Benz van or truck keyholders as well.

Keyholders and their guests will be able to watch the action in a comfortable and relaxed environment. The Keyholder’s Club will also enable guests to enjoy the excellent view and shelter from the weather, should it misbehave.

Providing the entertainment will be Mercedes-Benz cars both old and new. With just three of the new cars taking on the Goodwood Hill packing a combined power output of 1,742 hp, the action will be vivid and Mercedes-Benz owners will be right at the heart of the action.
